It’s Christmas! And all the stockings are hung on the chimney with care in hopes that Santa Claus soon will be here! I love hearing that story – I grew up every Christmas Eve, my uncle would read Twas ‘The Night Before Christmas‘ with all of us gathered around, waiting for Santa to hurry up and come, then we got to open presents from him to get Christmas started! You might laugh, but my brother and I will sing along to Hilary Duff and Lil’ Romeo’s (rap) song to ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’ (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_GPF3elJHY) – I love it and it makes me so proud that he knows that song and sings it with me:) I’m sorry but, he just is a great brother and I love him, am so thankful for him and just wish he was here with me and others who love him so much and think so much of him, this Christmas. He just needs to believe in himself and so do you and so do I:) So come on over and lets dance and sing and get some Christmas Cookies ready, because you know what Santa loves….?
Start off the Christmas season with these yummy Paleo Ginger Cookies. They are so good with a little sugar and spice to start your holiday season merry and bright! The best part about these cookies is that you think you’re really indulging, which you are, but they’re made from gluten free and grain free flours, and they are refined sugar free!! Okay, they are rolled in organic cane sugar to make them pretty and sparkly, but other than that, sugar free!! Whoa!! So, put on some Christmas music, grab a cup of hot cocoa and let’s make some Paleo Ginger Cookies!!!
As I was watching one of my favorite shows, Dancing with the Stars, this week, I sat there in awe. It was the week of the Stars’ most memorable year.
For some it was the year they became famous and their careers really got started. Then for some it was the year they came out of a tough time. You know what I realized and was honestly kind of dumbfounded and excited about, too? It wasn’t just the dancing, which is incredible, but it was that basically all of them, specifically four of them, really gave praise to God during their most memorable year, realizing that they wouldn’t have gotten through or made it without him. They were so thankful and wanted to share that! Because of their unique individual stories they put all their soul, sweat and tears into it making not just a great show like it is every week, but this week, it was an incredible show!
Just like the Stars’ and just like the changing Fall leaves, we might keep changing and falling but God is always there to pick us up, never condemning us. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” Hebrews 13:8 We are changing more into the one He created us to be…we might go through hard times we might go through great times but He is always there, always loving, always picking us up and making us pure and lovely and beautiful!
