It’s Christmas! And all the stockings are hung on the chimney with care in hopes that Santa Claus soon will be here! I love hearing that story – I grew up every Christmas Eve, my uncle would read Twas ‘The Night Before Christmas‘ with all of us gathered around, waiting for Santa to hurry up and come, then we got to open presents from him to get Christmas started! You might laugh, but my brother and I will sing along to Hilary Duff and Lil’ Romeo’s (rap) song to ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’ (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_GPF3elJHY) – I love it and it makes me so proud that he knows that song and sings it with me:) I’m sorry but, he just is a great brother and I love him, am so thankful for him and just wish he was here with me and others who love him so much and think so much of him, this Christmas. He just needs to believe in himself and so do you and so do I:) So come on over and lets dance and sing and get some Christmas Cookies ready, because you know what Santa loves….?
How do you live life, feel good, and do things for others with a happy heart? I’m still trying to figure these three things out. In the meantime I made some really good Fluffy Biscuits that just happen to be gluten free and dairy free and vegan! Yay! Celebrate good times, come on!
Do you ever just have one of those days when you’re tired, but had the best intentions of making a great dinner with a particular recipe out of a healing recipe book and everything? Do I have a great recipe, since I find myself doing that a lot. To be honest with you I usually stay away from Almond Butter, because, let’s face it, I like peanut butter way better! But, peanut butter does get a bad rap especially for stomachs that are trying to heal. I’m trying to be different and do different things, listening to my Master Herbalist and taking her advice. Well, when I went to see her last week, she said to stay away from nuts completely because they are hard for me to digest. I told her I love nut butters – aka peanut butter, but I didn’t admit to that because I knew what she’d say about that! Hehe:) Continue reading →
It’s been a whirlwind of a week. I feel like I haven’t really had a moment to really sit down and take a breath!
Okay, I have been able top settle down little at night to one or two of my shows, but I feel like I am just so tired I can’t really settle down. Even though I gotta keep up with ‘Blacklist’ and ‘Dancing with the Stars’, and oh my gosh, ‘Nashville’, hello – crazy stuff!! That is one, I will admit, is a soap opera, but once I started watching last season I was hooked. Plus, I like Hayden Panattiere – fell in love with her when I first saw her in ‘Remember the Titans‘ a gabillion years ago! Sometimes I just feel so old, wondering where the time has gone, do you feel that way or is that just me?
Anyways, it’s been a crazy but good week with lots of good changes, lots of baking, some promoting, grocery shopping for others and just really learning to (well, trying to learn to) relax, breathe and know God’s got me and He is in control. After such a crazy week it was time to sit and rest in His peace with a warm, comforting and healing yummy dinner, so I made ‘Healthy Shrimp and Roasted Veggies’. Continue reading →
